This was the second year M-FX had worked with Pete around Zombie season. 2008's effort was a nod to Channel 4's Big Brother zombie fest Dead Set and the makeup employed reflected this, see video on YouTube. 2009, however yielded a no holds barred gruesome gore fest. I decided to go for gelatine as a prosthetic medium as it works excellently under all lighting conditions - especially daylight and looks and moves just like real flesh.
